SURROUNDINGS
The first northern venture point to the Adriatic, Umag has been for centuries a residential favorite among the royalties: discovered in the ancient Roman times and flourishing under the Venetian rule, Umag has been marked by the spirits of the past which are also present and can be revisited today – in the alleys of the old city and by venturing the town walls. If You are interested in the magnificent, historical stories of the area, a visit to the medieval fortress of the Museum of Umag or a journey to the Savudrian lighthouse that hides away a legend of true romance, can be a delightful option.
From the lighthouse You are only one step away from all the sea wonders and joys: the pebble beach of Savudrija is ideal for smooth sailing or diving into the clear, blue sea. Fortyfive (45) km long, Umag’s coastline embraces the crystal-like sea which You can revel in from a plentitude of well-equipped, service-supplied beaches: the child-friendly, beach of Osmice; Polynesia, Aurora or Laguna Stella Maris beaches which can be approached via the tourist train or rent-a-bike and are swarming with recreational content or You can settle on the main, town beach which is one of the most wonderful places to spend some quality, fun family-time. One of your visits to Umag can be dedicated to the lovely Aquarium and for those who are action-seekers, a trip to the hinterland and the Adventure park can be an exciting way to see the green side of Istria. A break from the hot and sunny beach days can also be found in a more moderate manner: the backwoods of Istria are foremost famous for their agrotourism and nature sites and views that will take away your breath.
Our wide arms and wider smile are waiting for you in our coastal oasis, nestling near the magical blue of the Adriatic Sea and the luxurious offer of Umag where everybody can find their golden fish and fulfill dreams of perfect vacation
